Falun Gong Practitioners Protest Bo Xilai’s Visit
On October 1, 2006, Bo Xilai, the Chinese
Minister of Commerce, visited New Zealand. Falun Gong practitioners from
Auckland were assembled in front of the hotel that Bo stayed to protest
the persecution of Falun Gong by Bo Xilai in China.

During his term as governor of Liaoning Province from January 2001 to
February 2004, Liaoning had one of the worst records for persecuting
Falun Gong. Masanjia Forced Labor Camp and Longshan Forced Labor Camp,
where Falun Gong practitioners are persecuted severely, are located in
Liaoning. This March, several witnesses came forward to expose the
atrocities happening in Sujiatun, a secret concentration camp in
Liaoning Province, where several thousand Falun Gong practitioners were
locked up to have their organs harvested while they were still alive.
These heinous atrocities took place during the term of Bo Xilai. Ms. Gao,
a Falun Gong practitioner, said that Bo is responsible for the severe
persecution happening in Liaoning Province. In April 2006, Falun Gong
practitioners in New Zealand filed a lawsuit against Bo for the
persecution of Falun Gong, and Bo has been sued in several countries for
the same reason.
