People come to learn Falun Gong at Christchurch Health Festival
 

Falun Gong practitioners in Christchurch have been invited to participate in a local health festival for 2 consecutive years, and the organizers always arrange an open space for practitioners to demonstrate the exercises. However, the first day of the 2006 festival had a heavy rain. The organizer came and said to practitioners, "I hope the rain will stop so that people can see and learn your practice." Practitioners told her not to worry, that they could demonstrate at their booth side and that the sun would soon start to shine.

The rain seemed to have no effect on people's enthusiasm seeking body and spirit improvement. A lady from a small town in the South Island hurried to the Falun Gong booth and happily said, "I have been looking for you for a long time. Where can I learn the practice?" As there are no practitioners in her town and she had no time to learn the practice on site, practitioners took down her contact information and told her that they would mail Master Li's Falun Gong Exercise Instruction Video and a copy of Zhuan Falun to her.

Another lady came from Germany. After watching practitioners sitting in meditation, she approached and a practitioner: "I have been watching you doing the sitting meditation. At such a noisy site, you folks can reach deep tranquility. I can see your inner peace and it's so wonderful. I have been searching for a practice which can bring inner peace." She then said that she would return to Germany the next day and didn't know if she would still have an opportunity to learn Falun Gong. Practitioners told her that Falun Gong is practiced in more than 70 countries and there are many practitioners in Germany. She relaxed and smiled.

During the festival, people now and then stopped by to talk with practitioners. Many said that they had learned about the truth of the persecution and encouraged practitioners to keep up their hard and noble work. It is worth noting that one person passed by in a hurry and suddenly turned back and said to practitioners, "The Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners is so brutal, but they won't last much longer."

The second day of the festival was very sunny and practitioners then demonstrated the exercises in an open space. The organizer was very pleased to see the demonstration.
